Today our students joined an insightful session led by Dr. Eng. Mihai Pavel, President of AICPS Bucharest, who guided us through one of Romania’s most significant seismic events and its lasting impact on structural design.
Almost half a century after the 1977 earthquake that shook Bucharest, we continue to deepen our understanding and refine the way we design and build. Today’s discussion highlighted not only how far the field has come, but also how important it is to keep learning and improving seismic safety practices.
